Also called Large-Eared Woodrat, Dusky-Footed Woodrat, and Pack Rat. This animal builds large nests of wood scraps and branches in chaparral. This nest was eight feet high and found in a neighborhood adjoining Coastal Live Oak and chaparral habitat in Poway, California. San Diego County.
