Wilson's Phalarope

(Phalaropus tricolor)

Description:

While I was looking for anis, cuckoos, thrushes, buntings and warblers, a single Wilson’s Phalarope landed in the tiny nearby mud puddle. It was the only remaining water in the resaca. Resaca de las Palmas in Brownsville, Texas opened to the public a few days before I left Texas on my 2020 expedition.
