Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher

(Tyrannus forficatus)

Description:

Scissor-Tailed Flycatchers are a compelling subject for me. I don’t think I could ever tire of watching and photographing them. The open grassy bottom land at the site of the last battle of the Civil War called Palmito Hill, near Brownsville Texas, was a peaceful location to meet Scissor-Tailed Flycatchers and Eastern Meadowlarks.
