Ruby-Crowned Kinglet

(Regulus calendula)

Description:

The Ruby-Crowned Kinklet, when actively feeding on insects gleaned from leaves, can be very difficult to follow with the camera. This bird was no exception. Camped with the Science Team from the San Diego Natural History Museum at Granite Wells and gathering data as a followup study from previous studies of about 80 years prior.
