Description:

In the company of Western Sandpipers. Dowitchers are difficult to separate. As a general rule “Short-Billed” prefer saltwater or brackish habitats, where “Long-Billed” prefer fresh water. However, either might be present at this location. Tide flats along South Jetty Road in Bandon Oregon.
