Vultures & Storks

3 Subjects, 80 Images

The three members of this collection are the Black Vulture, Turkey Vulture, and the Wood Stork. It has long bothered me that field guides included vultures with the raptors in their presentation. Raptors are so named because of the rapier weapons on their feet. Vultures have no such weapons, and researchers believe they are more closely related to the Stork clan. It is out of respect for this detail that I assembled this collection.
